Overwhelming monetization and hokiemas88 exceptionally dull third-person hero shooting sour a game that could’ve been a mech fan’s dream. Wuchang brings some fun ideas to soulslike boss fights, but the rest of it is a pale imitation of much better games. Killing Floor 3 is fun, quick to pick up, and builds on what worked for its predecessors.

Game Reviews

It doesn’t always work, and there are times where you effectively are just doing hydration admin, which feels pretty dull, but the majority of my time, after the first area, was very absorbing. It’s certainly true that some recipes require an absurd amount of various materials. The Ornithopter, for instance, needs vast amounts of aluminum, and you need that to access the Deep Desert, where the game’s politics and PvP pop. It feels like there’s two different games here, one that is more like EvE Online and another that is more like a gentler Rust.

It’s famous for its unbiased and thorough reviews. [newline]Gamers rely on GameSpot’s experienced reviewers for detailed assessments of gameplay, graphics, and overall experience. Tiny Bookshop is an absolutely charming narrative management sim that lets players live out a literary fantasy life in a small seaside town. Mario Party Jamboree is a staple around my house, as most Mario Party games have been. Good or bad, our family always finds time to sit back and enjoy some Mario Party shenanigans, even if those games end in tears for someone. With a host of new features packed into the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo is pushing an update for this title titled Jamboree TV, providing games that use mouse controls, and experiences … As much as I love Nintendo, some of the decisions they have made so far this generation with the Nintendo Switch 2 have baffled even me.

You’ve only got eight hotkeys, too, and one hotbar. You will, after a handful of hours, need to decide whether to leave some at home or fill up your inventory with items that you might not use. Some items, like the handheld resource scanner, feel distinctly useless, destined to sit in storage forever like a half-forgotten pepper at the back of the fridge. The enemies all look like, well, Dune characters – flowing robes and stillsuits. There’s very little to distinguish between different enemy types, which makes quests that task you with killing a specific enemy more of a guessing game than anything else. I essentially never knew that I’d killed my target until I got a little quest pop-up.

Being a fan of annual sports games recreates that strange sense of hope. Maybe next year that thing you hated finally gets fixed, or that long-needed feature gets added. I’ve lamented the constant feeling of “maybe next year” in my past Madden reviews, and I’ve wondered if incremental improvements are the only thing possible in a series like this. But boy howdy, did EA Tiburon prove me wrong with Madden NFL 26. There may still be room for improvement, but this is easily the best Madden in a long, long time. Steam has a handy review system that makes it easy to see what a lot of other players thought about the game.

Doom: The Dark Ages: The Kotaku Review

Some, generally player abilities, last a few weeks; others, like the ones that allow you to hire better scouts, last all season. It’s more interesting than “this position gets +2 Speed, the most important stat in the game,” which was how a lot of the skill tree looked last time. To compensate, a few of the minigames now give two skill points instead of one, but that brings me to the second, larger problem. I did not think I could hate a passing minigame more than Madden 25’s Target Passing, but I’d never played Bucket Drop, which is both awkward to control and somehow worse than last year. Before I really get into why I love it so much, let me quickly talk about the changes I don’t like.

New Ninja Gaiden 4 Story Trailer Sees Ryu And Yakumo Face Off

Aside from Stardew Valley’s re-review, only one new game received a 10 from IGN this year, and it was none other than FromSoftware’s first Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. This new expansion not only adds an entire new area to The Lands Between to explore, but a suite of new weapons, armors, and even combat styles like martial arts, makes FromSoftware’s magnum opus even better. Uragun is a fun, easy to pickup and play mech shooter by KoolPlay that is available now on Steam. Capcom is already gearing up for Resident Evil’s 30th anniversary, releasing an intriguing new piece of artwork featuring the series’ protagonists. These RPGs aren’t made for marathon gaming sessions. They reward steady play over long periods of time, and they’re unsatisfying to complete quickly.

Donkey Kong Bananza is an incredibly impressive 3D platformer for the Nintendo Switch 2 and one of Donkey Kong’s greatest adventures to date. Drag x Drive is a barebones sports game that makes great use of the Switch 2’s mouse controls.

Avowed felt like a sumptuous embarrassment of riches. This year, my steadfast custom character Joe Throw makes his debut as the backup for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and… it’s fine, I guess. The big thing this iteration is managing your relationships with your coaches, fellow players, and other guys in your Sphere of Influence, like a Sports Psychologist or Tattoo Artist. Like Franchise, there are nicely produced cutscenes here that establish the characters, but it often plays out off the field by having you make a binary choice that isn’t really a choice. Like, sorry Jaxon Steele, I’m not gonna blow off a meeting with my coach to get a tattoo.
